The National Autistic Society has been named TCS London Marathon Charity of the Year for 2027.
Speaking about the news, the National Autistic Society said: “This is our time: time to shine a light on autism, amplify autistic voices, and raise vital funds to create a society that truly works for autistic people.”
“Awareness of autism has never been higher, but public understanding is still far behind. That gap isolates people, shuts them out of everyday life, and stops them from feeling seen for who they are.”
The society said that is aimed to make 2027’s event the most inclusive London Marathon yet and that funds raised would “help power something truly groundbreaking: our Autism Help digital hub and a new app, putting personalised support right in people’s hands, whenever they need it.”
