Open Meetings

A chance for our members and friends to get together to discuss issues, share experiences, ask questions, and get support.

We hold two Open Meetings a year, one in person (usually in London or Birmingham) and one online using Zoom.

These meetings are a chance for our members to get together to discuss issues of interest and concern, to share experiences, ask questions and get support from other families and people in the same boat.

Our meetings usually have a particular focus or theme and we invite a range of expert speakers – from the fields of social care and the law, learning disability groups, other Camphill organisations and our own membership – to share their experiences with us.

Recent topics have included:

  • Healthy living in Camphill communities
  • Archbishops’ Commission on Reimagining Care
  • Our Life, Our Choice
  • Cohousing
  • Shared Lives

In addition to Open Meetings, we also hold three informal online Coffee Mornings each year for our members, hosted on Zoom.

You can find information on all our forthcoming events here.

You can read reports of our previous meetings here.

Our Open Meetings are free to members. Our annual in-person meeting includes a free lunch. If you’re not a member, you can join on the door.

“Camphill Families and Friends meetings are so relevant, personal and helpful.”
