It is very easy to feel isolated, particularly when you are supporting a relative or friend with learning disabilities.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Camphill Families and Friends listened to members when they shared a pressing need to connect and communicate with other families. We held a trial Coffee Morning Zoom session where members were invited to drop in and chat – a free space to share thoughts and experiences.
This pilot was so successful that we’ve decided to hold them three times a year, going forward. The online Coffee Mornings are now a regular chance for our members to connect with each other, in addition to our twice-yearly Open Meetings.
Unlike our Open Meetings, there are no agendas or themes, no speakers, no minutes or notes taken. This is purely an opportunity to drop in, meet others, say hello, or just listen. Join for as short or long a time as you want to.
You can find information on all our forthcoming events here.
