Our response to the Pathways to Work Green Paper

A tin containng lots of British coins and a five pound note

Camphill Families and Friends has submitted a response to the government’s Pathways to Work Green Paper, which proposes to reform some benefits, including Personal Independence Payments (PIP), which many of our loved ones receive.

We believe that the imposition of the proposed cuts to PIP risk our learning-disabled family members being unable to cope. They will be disabled for the whole of their lives and thus are some of the most vulnerable in society. Removing or reducing PIP risks leaving them in extremely difficult circumstances – something we believe should not happen in a compassionate and fair society.
