NHS England is scrapping a number of targets, including a pledge to make sure that 75% of people with learning disabilities receive their annual health check
These health checks play a critical role in the early detection and prevention of health conditions and help to improve overall health outcomes for people with learning disabilities. Though the checks remain available, there is concern that removing them from NHS targets will inevitably mean they become less of a priority. It is therefore even more important that we ensure that our relatives are taking up their annual check.
